TEAM SPOTLIGHT
June 2025
Some people build houses, others build careers. But Joe Feher? He builds relationships, trust, and an enduring legacy in the construction industry. For over two decades, Joe has been an integral part of Caritas and Rendell, shaping not just structures but the very culture that makes our company exceptional.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Joe grew up watching his father manage Woolworths stores, moving from state to state to open new locations. But it was his grandfather, a carpenter, who first sparked his fascination with building. Whether hammering alongside him as a kid or picking up framing work with his brother during college, Joe was always drawn to craftsmanship.
After earning his associate degree in Automotive Technology from Lehigh County Community College, fate intervened—a framing contractor offered him a job, and he never looked back. Over the years, Joe expanded his skills from framing houses to mastering interior systems and eventually running his own commercial construction business. But when longtime client George Rendell extended an offer in 2000, Joe saw the perfect opportunity: a role that allowed him to focus on what he loved without the stress of running a company.
For Joe, work at Caritas and Rendell isn’t just a job—it’s a way of life. “George built a great reputation, something more than just day-to-day work,” he says. “I feel like I’ve invested a lot, and I like it because I’m good at it. I know my stuff. I’m comfortable with the process, confident in what I do, and I make sure my part is done well—efficiently and at the highest quality.”
That dedication has fostered strong relationships, especially with repeat customers and colleagues. His closest collaborator is Dan McCall, with whom he works daily to keep projects on track. “Joe’s exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to detail have significantly contributed to the success of our projects. He consistently demonstrates professionalism and a strong work ethic, making him an invaluable asset to our team. It is no surprise that our repeat clients request, ‘Joe should be on the next job,’” says Dan.
Outside of work, Joe’s world is as full as the projects he manages. He’s an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time camping in the mountains, hiking the Appalachian Trail, fishing, and hunting. He enjoys hands-on work even off the job site, fixing up houses and remodeling a farm home. But perhaps his favorite pastime? Cooking with family.
Speaking of family, Joe is the proud father of three sons—Joe, Tyler, and John—who all grew up playing ice hockey and still hit the rink today. A die-hard Flyers fan, Joe has now passed on that love of the sport to his grandchildren: Emerson, Nola, Spencer, and Asher. And in a new chapter of life, he recently married Lori in May 2025, adding even more joy to his story.
With a career spanning decades and a life rich in experience, Joe embodies the qualities that make Caritas and Rendell strong: skill, commitment, and a deep sense of community. Whether he’s managing a build or mentoring others in the field, Joe’s contributions extend far beyond the structures he helps create.
Next time you see him, ask him about his latest outdoor adventure—or the next Flyers game. Chances are, he’ll have a story worth listening to.
